IDOB OFFICE HOURS AND LIMITED ACCESS TO THE OFFICE BUILDING DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
Iowa Division Banking is operating during its normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is being staffed at a reduced level. However, our employees are still available by phone and email. Access to the building for Iowa Division of Banking has been restricted. If you wish to visit the Iowa Division of Banking, please contact IDOB first to make arrangements for getting into the building. The phone number is 515-281-4014.
WHO WE REGULATE
The IDOB regulates all Iowa state-chartered banks but also has regulatory and licensing authority over consumer lenders, mortgage businesses, real estate appraisers, appraisal management companies and payday lenders conducting business in Iowa. Professional Licensing is a bureau of the Division of Banking and consists of the licensing boards for accountants; architects; engineers and land surveyors; landscape architects; real estate brokers and agents; and interior designers.
