IDOB OFFICE HOURS AND RESTRICTED ACCESS TO OFFICE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
Iowa Division Banking is operating during its normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is being staffed at a reduced level. Visitors are discouraged although employees may meet with visitors by appointment only. Visitors expecting to stay longer than 5 minutes must be approved in advance by IDOB on-site staff. WHO WE REGULATE
The IDOB regulates all Iowa state-chartered banks but also has regulatory and licensing authority over consumer lenders, mortgage businesses, real estate appraisers, appraisal management companies and payday lenders conducting business in Iowa. Professional Licensing is a bureau of the Division of Banking and consists of the licensing boards for accountants; architects; engineers and land surveyors; landscape architects; real estate brokers and agents; and interior designers.
